Update on Jardine Foundation Oxford and Cambridge Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme
The Jardine Foundation remains committed to providing access to higher education by talented students across the Asian communities in which Jardines operates.
Following a strategic review, the Foundation will be increasing its focus and investment in Asia, expanding opportunities for local students to study at leading universities in the region.
As part of this renewed focus, the Foundation will make no further awards for Oxford and Cambridge undergraduate courses with effect from the 2027 academic year onwards. This means that scholarships already granted to students commencing their undergraduate studies in autumn 2026 will be the final awards made under the Oxbridge undergraduate scheme and no further applications will be accepted.
All current undergraduate Jardine Scholars at Oxford and Cambridge, as well as 2026 awardees, will continue to receive full financial and other support until the completion of their studies.
This change applies only to the undergraduate scholarship scheme with Oxford and Cambridge Universities. The Foundation will continue to support its existing postgraduate scholarship programmes with Oxford and Cambridge universities, its undergraduate schemes with Hong Kong University and Universitas Gadja Mada in Indonesia and its postgraduate scheme with Fulbright University Vietnam.
The Jardine-CT Postgraduate Scheme, in partnership with the Cambridge Trust, is a jointly funded scheme. To be considered for this Scholarship, you may choose to indicate, on your University application to the University of Cambridge, your wish to be considered for the Jardine Cambridge Graduate Scholarship Scheme. You will then be asked to submit a scholarship application prior to the funding deadline, if you have been shortlisted by the Trust. While applicants are welcome to apply to both the standalone Jardine Scheme, and the jointly funded Jardine Cambridge Graduate Scholarship Scheme, applicants will be required to complete two separate applications. For more information on the Jardine Cambridge Graduate Scholarship Scheme, please visit the Cambridge Trust website or contact cambridge.trust@admin.cam.ac.uk.
